Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Delivery Coordinator to assist with the scheduling, coordination, and execution of daily deliveries for Bottles Beverage Superstore. This hourly position plays a key role in ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time to Charleston-area restaurants, bars, and customers. The Delivery Coordinator will also assist in warehouse tasks and maintain clear communication between delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules and routes to maximize efficiency.
- Assist drivers in preparing orders for delivery, including loading and organizing products.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery timing, special requests, or issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and resolve basic discrepancies as needed.
- Monitor delivery vehicle readiness, including cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs.
- Support warehouse operations, including restocking, receiving, and general organization.
- Ensure compliance with alcohol distribution laws and company delivery procedures.
- Provide support for special events, promotions, or high-volume delivery days.
- Report delivery progress, customer feedback, and issues to management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical warehouse/delivery tasks.
- Knowledge of the beverage/alcohol industry a plus.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in delivery coordination, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
- Food & beverage industry experience is a bonus.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, hourly position (40 hours per week).
- Shifts are 8 hours with a scheduled lunch break.
- Must be available for weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
