The City of Greensboro is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Delinquent Revenue Assistant to support the Collections Division in the recovery and management of delinquent accounts. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, assisting customers, and supporting the collection of outstanding debts related to parking violations, assessments, and miscellaneous billings. Compensation and Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range: $41,600.00 - $49,747.00. Full Salary Range: $41,600.00 - $73,176.00 Annually

About the DepartmentThe Collections Division supports the City’s financial stability by managing delinquent accounts and ensuring responsible recovery of outstanding revenue. The division works closely with customers, external agencies, and City departments to resolve account issues while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

About the RoleThe Delinquent Revenue Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative, research, and customer service duties related to delinquent account collections and revenue recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, document, and support collection efforts for delinquent parking violations, miscellaneous billings, and special assessments
- Conduct skip tracing research to locate debtors and support collection activities
- Perform extensive research on NSF checks, delinquent assessments, and miscellaneous billing accounts
- Make initial collection calls before accounts are escalated to Delinquent Revenue Collectors
- Assist customers by resolving complaints and account concerns both by phone and in person
- Enter and update billing and assessment information within the CLCS assessment billing system
- Update records within the NC Debt Setoff application
- Coordinate regular file transfers with third-party collection agencies
- Prepare and maintain reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Support daily operations of the Collections Division through additional assigned duties
