Job Summary: As a Deli Clerk at Broulim's, youll be the face of our deli department, delivering top-notch service and providing customers with a diverse selection of high-quality deli products. From slicing meats and cheeses to creating appetizing deli trays, your role is essential in creating a positive and delicious shopping experience.

Examples of Duties:

  • Assist customers in the deli department, offering product information and recommendations.

  • Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.

  • Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.

  • Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.

  • Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

  • Basic understanding of deli department equipment and tools.

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Precision in slicing and weighing deli products.

  • Ability to operate deli department equipment safely.

  • Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 16 years or older to operate fryers and oven, and 18 years or older operate the slicer.
