Job Summary
Oversee default prevention and debt management efforts by tracking withdrawals, graduation dates, and verifying enrollment status. Assist with coordination of Student Loan Program to include conducting Entrance/Exit advice. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.
Essential Functions
Responsible for monitoring default aversion efforts for the District. Track withdrawals and graduation dates for current borrowers in order to fulfill exit counseling requirements.
Communicate effectively and on a timely basis with student borrowers, lender services and guarantee agencies concerning application status, enrollment status, and default aversion information.
Assist with workshops and presentations to include Financial Literacy and Entrance and Exit advice and other outreach activities.
Provide information to current and prospective student borrowers on all aspects of the financial aid process.
Attend financial aid training and workshops to keep abreast of changes in federal law and procedures. Assist in implementation of changes in loan policies in accordance with federal regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework.
