Position Summary:
This position is for EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The primary purpose of the Dedicated Operations Manager role is to manage the day-to-day operation of assigned Dedicated Account(s), ensuring that Safety, Customer, and Driver Goals are met or exceeded. Driving profitability through contract compliance, expense mitigation, and business growth. Focus on delivering Revenue, Operating Income, and Pretax, review financial statements to identify opportunities for improvement. Must work tactically and strategically to accomplish business needs.
Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
Pay Range: $73,500 - $76,000
Responsibilities:
- Schedule customer shipments to meet service expectations, serving as the primary point of contact for tactical customer needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll in accordance with company policies.
- Submit billing accurately and on time; collaborate with customers to resolve any billing issues promptly.
- Manage daily driver interactions, addressing operational concerns and escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinate with PTL to ensure timely preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- Execute company safety programs, including Smart Drive, High Risk Driver Reporting, and driver coaching.
- Contribute to the development and execution of business plan goals, aligning daily operations with strategic objectives.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma / GED required
- At least 2 years of Transportation Operation Experience required
- Independent problem solving skills required
- Intermediate computer skills
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
