Senior Administrative Leadership Role

Position Summary:
The Dean of Curriculum and Instruction provides instructional leadership and operational oversight across all grade levels (K–8), ensuring the implementation of rigorous curriculum, effective teaching practices, and a supportive learning environment. This role serves as the direct supervisor for faculty and instructional aides, leads teacher development initiatives, and maintains primary responsibility for instructional leadership, faculty supervision, curriculum implementation, and academic program effectiveness, while collaborating closely with school leadership peer Deans and the Pastor to advance student achievement and institutional excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum, Instruction & Standards Leads curriculum adoption and program implementation, monitors fidelity across classrooms, and supports data-driven instructional decisions using tools such as STAR assessments and gradebook analysis. Manages academic probation processes and develops lesson plans and curriculum mapping systems. Integrates Gospel values and Christian ethics into the curriculum, policies and life of the school.
Teacher Development & Evaluation Facilitates the Teacher Mentoring Program, including structured new teacher meetings. Conducts formal classroom observations, leads faculty performance evaluation and accountability processes, and manages the Annual Performance Review process. Designs and delivers targeted professional development sessions, supports individualized teacher PD plans, and maintains ongoing classroom management coaching.
Faculty Supervision & HR Administration Serves as direct report supervisor for all faculty and instructional aides. Manages time-off requests, sick call coverage, and scheduling for exempt employees. Participates in interviewing and hiring decisions, oversees onboarding of new staff, and submits HR weekly updates. Executes contracts and agreements as authorized.
Scheduling & Academic Programs Manages Junior High class schedules and co-curricular programming. Oversees K–5 class schedule coordination in collaboration with grade-level teachers. Oversees the Student Resource Program in partnership with the Director.
Communication Team Leadership Prepares and distributes weekly newsletters and faculty meeting agendas, including Beginning of Year faculty meetings. Leads Back to School Night preparation and presentation. Participates in Jr High bi-weekly meetings and collaborates regularly with the DCS for counsel and alignment on school-wide decisions. Collaborates closely with peer Deans regarding school-wide initiatives, institutional communication, and strategic decisions while maintaining primary ownership and accountability within assigned operational and instructional leadership areas. Ensures appropriate shared visibility and aligned communication across the Leadership Team.
