About the role:
The Dealer Service Specialist is responsible for providing exemplary and prompt customer service to dealerships and internal customers. This team member will be responsible for the daily administration of the receivable and dealer-facing systems. This team member has contact with dealership staff, internal company departments, auctions and floorplan insurance providers.
In this role you will:
- Effectively communicate with dealers, outside vendors, management, and peers ensuring serviced dealerships and internal customers are provided with exemplary and prompt customer service
- Responsible for making outbound and taking inbound calls to provide exemplary dealer support and documenting conversations and account activity accurately
- Perform collections on upcoming and /or past due payments
- Assist and train dealership customers and GM Financial staff in the practical use of the floorplan (dealer-facing) system, as well as relevant floorplan standards and procedures
- Perform accurate set-up/maintenance for floorplan credit lines
- Assist in take-out process from prior lender
- Process all exceptions ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals obtained
- Collaborate with peers and share best practices
- Effectively communicate any dealer issues to management
- Maintain acceptable defect rate on all Wi updates
