The Deal Flow Analyst – Venture Capital plays a critical role in managing the front end of the venture investment process. This position is responsible for reviewing inbound opportunities, supporting outbound sourcing efforts, organizing deal pipelines, and coordinating early-stage evaluation workflows.
Deal Flow Analysts work closely with partners, associates, and founders to ensure that high-quality opportunities progress efficiently from initial screening through deeper diligence.
Manage inbound deal flow, including screening pitch decks, founder submissions, and referrals
Conduct initial evaluations of startups across team, product, market, traction, and business model
Coordinate and track deal pipeline activity using CRM and internal tools
Support outbound sourcing efforts by identifying startups aligned with firm investment themes
Conduct introductory founder calls and summarize findings for the investment team
Assist with market research, competitive analysis, and opportunity benchmarking
Prepare deal summaries, screening memos, and internal updates for investment meetings
Monitor deal flow trends and provide insights on sourcing effectiveness and funnel performance
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, or a related analytical field
Strong interest in venture capital, startups, and early-stage investing
Experience in venture internships, consulting, investment banking, startup operations, or research roles is helpful
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with founders and investors
