The Maintenance Technician - Forklift Repair ensures the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks within a warehouse environment.
They perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and material-handling equipment to minimize downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
- 50% troubleshooting and repairing electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, and related mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, including conveyor system logic.
- 20% conducting preventive maintenance and modifications on equipment and facilities.
- 10% providing equipment status reports and documenting maintenance issues.
- 10% following safety guidelines and OSHA standards, maintaining a safe work environment.
- 10% keeping work areas clean and organized.
Reporting to the Area Supervisor, the role involves minimal travel (<10%) and requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and lifting moderate weights. Candidates should have at least one year of related experience, basic computer skills, and a trade school or similar technical education. Preferred qualifications include experience with industrial electric forklifts and conveyor systems. The position demands flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
