Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client
operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with
clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by
coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving
problems.

--- Project Description ---
This Database Architect position will function as database
developer/architect supporting multiple software applications for the
DOH Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Analysis and design of database objects and data collection systems,
including the transformation of legislative requirements into system
functionality;
2. Data modelling;
3. Software development tasks including Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL
Server coding, testing, and implementation;
4. Troubleshooting issues in the application to find solutions;
5. Preparation of technical and user documentation.

--- Required Qualifications ---
• 84 Months of experience in interpreting physical database models and
experience with relational database concepts such as indexes, primary and
foreign keys, and constraints using both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• 84 Months of experience developing using Oracle PL/SQL, including database
packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
• 84 Months of experience in working with Oracle version 11g or later.
• 84 Months of experience in using Oracle programming tools (SQL*Plus,
SQL*Loader or other Oracle database programming tools).
• 60 Months of experience developing using Microsoft Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
• 60 Months of experience in designing relational databases.
• 24 Months of experience in integrating multiple database schemas.
• 18 Months of experience in using Git
