Key Responsibilities:
- Data profiling: Analyze and understand source systems to determine data availability, quality, and extraction logic.
- Data modeling: Design dimensional models and star schemas to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Data flow design: Produce clear, detailed mapping documents that translate business rules into technical specifications.
- SQL Server data mart development: Build and optimize tables, views, stored procedures, and indexes.
- Visual Studio database projects: Create and maintain database projects for versioned, repeatable deployments.
- GIT source control: Manage code changes, branching, and collaboration workflows.
- SSIS ETL development: Build, schedule, and monitor ETL packages to load data marts reliably and efficiently.
- Data validation testing: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business rules.
- Dashboard/report creation (nice-to-have): Build basic dashboards or visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
