Are you a data enthusiast who wants to make a real, tangible impact on education? We are looking for a Data Systems Specialist to join our team! In this role, you won't just manage numbers, you will empower our principals and school leadership teams with the insights, tools, and skills they need to continuously improve teaching and learning for our students.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Empower School Leaders: Provide principals and school leadership teams with student and staff performance data, along with the tools and skills needed to use this data to effect improvements in teaching and learning.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Audit, analyze, and produce data reports for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
  • Support Our Team: Audit, analyze, and produce data reports for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Responsibilities:

The Data Systems Specialist will provide principals and school leadership teams with student and staff performance data, along with the tools and skills needed to use this data to effect improvements in teaching and learning.

Audit, analyze, and produce data reports for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

To keep our schools running smoothly, you will take the lead on:

  • State Reporting Management

  • Data Auditing & Validation

  • Educator Evaluation End of Year Reporting

  • Staff Roster & Attendance Tracking

  • Course Schedule & Transcript Alignment

  • Data Standardization

  • SIF Integration & Error Resolution

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • End-of-Year Rollover & Graduate Reporting

  • Federal & Additional Compliance Reporting

  • Enrollment & Registration Support

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and 3-5 years of experience in a school department, or a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in a school department.
  • Advanced proficiency in a range of technology tools and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, Google suite.
  • Experience with multiple types of databases, including student information system software (PowerSchool preferred).
  • Experience importing and exporting data to generate reports and a demonstrated proficiency with data analysis.
  • Experience with MA state reporting preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative setting and with staff, parents and the general public.

This is a year-round, 12 month position

Public School employees of Massachusetts are required to submit their fingerprints to a National Criminal Database check. The check will require you to pay a fee of $55 if you hold an Educator's License, or $35 if you are an unlicensed employee. In addition to the national background check, a satifsfactory Massachusetts Criminal Record Check (CORI) is required.

The district offers a K-5 French Immersion program and a PreK-4 Montessori program in addition to its Traditional program.
