The Data Support Specialist will report to the Data Analyst III, Safety & Security, and provide administrative and data support for the San Mateo County Transit District.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Provide administrative and data entry support.
- Collect, review and analyze safety data; prepare reports, charts, dashboards, and other presentation materials.
- Process and analyze safety related data collected from vendors and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC).
- Analyze safety related information to Client trends and patterns. Develop and create a repository of safety information.
- Collaborate with different departments to facilitate reporting requests.
- Create project management tools and checklists to assist with KPI tracking.
- Assist in the analyzation and compilation of Accident & Incident Reports.
- Assist in data entry for the Safety Management System software.
- Develop forms and processes to improve efficiency in reporting, requests, and feedback.
- Review survey data to provide recommendations and findings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to:
- Associate's Degree
- Two years' experience working in a data role using Excel, PowerBI, ect.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience developing, analyzing and completing reports and dashboards


Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical Screenings (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client.
