Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data infrastructure within a complex technical environment. This role will focus on building scalable data solutions, supporting analytics initiatives, developing data pipelines, and ensuring accurate, reliable, and accessible data across business systems and applications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working with large datasets and complex systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise data infrastructure including databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines
  • Collect and integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and enterprise systems
  • Develop efficient data pipelines to transform raw data into dashboards, reports, and actionable insights
  • Ensure data is stored securely, efficiently, and remains accessible for analytics and reporting needs
  • Implement data validation, quality control, and governance processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency
  • Optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to support business and technical data requirements
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot data infrastructure issues, and support ongoing maintenance activities
  • Support configuration management, documentation, and change impact analysis related to enterprise data architecture
  • Assist with identifying Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASOT) and support integrations into cloud and reporting environments using Power BI and AWS technologies
  • Participate in developing data models, process flows, and business process documentation
  • Translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations

Qualifications
US Citizenship is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Physical/Applied Sciences, or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience required
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and mathematical problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with large datasets, complex systems, and enterprise data environments
  • Experience developing data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting solutions
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics, applied mathematics, and mathematical programming concepts
  • Ability to independently research, analyze, and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Knowledge of Agile metrics and reporting practices
  • Experience supporting development teams in technical environments
  • Knowledge of engineering or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
  • Understanding of technical systems related to complex defense or engineering programs
