Overview

Client is seeking a Data Readiness Lead to support ERP Transformation initiatives by ensuring data migrated into SAP S/4HANA is accurate, compliant, and ready for business use at go-live. This contract role is embedded within project teams and is focused on executing Data Readiness activities that reduce data risk, improve data quality, and help prevent post-go-live disruption. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in data migration, data quality, cross-functional collaboration, and SAP S/4HANA transformation environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive data cleansing activities with business data owners
  • Measure, track, and report data quality throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure enterprise data standards are applied during design and mapping activities
  • Track data defects, issues, and remediation actions across data load cycles
  • Manage data approvals, sign-offs, and compliance-related artifacts
  • Partner with project leadership and data migration teams to assess readiness for go-live
  • Identify and escalate data risks that could impact project execution or business operations
  • Support business teams through training, transparency, and communication around data readiness
  • Provide recommendations to improve Data Readiness frameworks, artifacts, and processes

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5–7+ years of experience in Quality, IT, or Data Migration
  • Strong working knowledge of data cleansing, validation, and data quality measurement practices
  • Experience supporting data migration and data readiness activities in complex project environments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments with multiple priorities
  • Strong judgment in ambiguous situations with a focus on business risk
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience operating independently within large, complex transformation programs
  • Advanced experience supporting data migration or data quality activities in SAP S/4HANA and related interfaces
  • Project management experience and success delivering project-based work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with leadership and stakeholder audiences
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

Work Details

  • Location: Remote; candidates local to Corning, NY preferred
  • Hours: Must be willing to support EST hours
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; some flexibility may be needed for global project teams
  • Duration: Anticipated through end of year with possible extension based on project demand
  • Travel: Approximately 2 trips per year expected in Q3 and Q4 2026, 1 week each in Corning, NY; additional travel may be required based on project phase
  • Interview Process: Two rounds - first round with direct manager, second round panel video interview
