Job Summary and Qualifications

The Analyst II, Data Integration & Quality (DIQ), performs advanced validation, profiling, and assessment of Supply Chain data as it moves across systems. This role applies stronger analytical judgment, SQL logic, and multi‑source comparison techniques to evaluate integration outcomes, detect systemic data issues, and recommend corrective actions. The Analyst II supports refinement of data quality rules, contributes to integration testing and root‑cause analysis, and ensures that data‑in‑motion conforms to DAMA‑aligned governance expectations. The role operates with increased independence and provides subject matter support to Analyst I staff.

What you will do:

Data Quality Assessment

  • Conduct complex source‑to‑target reconciliations using advanced lookup logic, pivot analysis, conditional expressions, and multi‑file comparisons.
  • Modify SQL queries, joins, and aggregations to validate accuracy of integrated datasets and confirm data completeness.
  • Identify quality‑impacting patterns and recommend improvements to rule criteria or validation logic.
Integration Validation and Troubleshooting

  • Evaluate integration logs, transformation outputs, mapping behaviors, and load results to determine integration health.
  • Diagnose data-related causes of integration failures using spreadsheet analysis, SQL validation, and pattern recognition.
  • Partner with technical teams to clarify data behavior, mapping gaps, or systemic integration issues requiring remediation.
Exception Analysis & Continuous Monitoring

  • Analyze data exceptions across cycles to identify recurring defects, dependencies, or upstream root causes.
  • Build structured exception summaries or simple dashboard visuals to support readiness assessments and improvement plans.
  • Recommend adjustments to data quality thresholds, validation rules, or process controls based on observed trends.
Metadata, Lineage & Governance Documentation

  • Document end‑to‑end validation processes, data lineage interpretations, integration flow observations, and exception patterns.
  • Ensure structured documentation supports audit, compliance, and governance expectations for transparency and repeatability.
  • Provide feedback on gaps in governance standards and contribute updates to metadata repositories as needed.
Controlled Use of Automation, Scripting & AI (Data Processing)

  • Design and refine reusable validation templates and tools (e.g., standardized Excel workbooks, macros, Office Scripts, or basic scripts) that Analyst I staff can use to perform consistent data quality checks and source‑to‑target comparisons.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor or Manager to define approved automation and AI usage patterns for DIQ work (e.g., when to use AI for formula generation, how to structure exception summaries), and document these patterns as standard operating methods.
  • Use AI tools to explore and prototype new validation or profiling approaches, then translate successful patterns into documented, repeatable job aids or templates for broader team adoption.
  • Ensure that all automated workflows and AI‑assisted methods are tested, versioned, and compliant with data governance, security, and privacy requirements before promoting them for regular team use.
Support for Junior Team Members

  • Model expected leadership behaviors aligned with HT values, Code of Conduct, and Mission.
  • Provide guidance, structured review feedback, and knowledge-sharing to Analyst I staff on validation methods, SQL usage, and data quality concepts.
  • Assist in building reusable templates, job aids, and examples that promote learning and consistency across the team.
What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • 3 years’ experience performing data validation, profiling, audit, or analytics work involving structured datasets required.
  • 1+ years’ experience with demonstrated use of SQL and spreadsheet-based analysis in governed data environments preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience supporting integration, data quality, or data readiness initiatives preferred.
  • or 10+ years’ experience performing data validation, profiling, audit, or analytics work involving structured datasets, including demonstrated use of SQL and spreadsheet-based analysis, and supporting integration, data quality, or data readiness initiatives analysis in governed data environments.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Preferred
  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Preferred

About the Company

H

HCA Healthcare

At its founding in 1968, Nashville-based HCA was one of the nation's first hospital companies. Today, we are the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, a company comprised of locally managed facilities that includes about 165 hospitals and 115 freestanding surgery centers in 20 states and England and employing approximately 204,000 people. Approximately four to five percent of all inpatient care delivered in the country today is provided by HCA facilities. Richard M. Bracken serves as Chairman of HCA and R. Milton Johnson is the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.

HCA is committed to the care and improvement of human life and strives to deliver high quality, cost effective healthcare in the communities we serve. Building on the foundation provided by our Mission & Values, HCA puts patients first and works to constantly improve the care we give them by implementing measures that support our caregivers, help ensure patient safety and provide the highest possible quality. Investing in our communities is important to us. HCA typically invests about $1.5 billion annually to keep our facilities modern and up-to-date technologically and to expand and add services where needed. Focusing primarily on communities where the company is a leading healthcare provider, HCA selectively adds new facilities in order to better serve our communities.

And because two HCA founders were physicians, we value highly the strong relationships we've created with local physicians. We endeavor to provide them with a wide array of services and modern facilities in order to help them deliver the best possible care.
