Immediate long term contract opportunity for Data Entry Operator / Community Associate with direct client in New York, NY.

 

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate opening for Data Entry Operator / Community Associate in New York, NY. The details of the opportunity are below.

Work Environment: This position requires both office work and field work, including visits to homes, hotels, etc., within the five boroughs of New York City.

Description:
This role is to support relocation of residents at developments where planned major modernization or unplanned urgent repairs are required, including repairs to address health and safety issues. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Data Entry Operator assist in conducting the Intake Survey and Moving Assessments. In addition, the Data Entry Operator duties will also be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists in providing community services by performing liaison functions between the agency and residents.
• Connects resident with interpretation services in accordance with the agencies Language Assistance Service Policy.
• Helps clients fill out and submit forms.
• Assist with intake procedures, resident follow-up, and hotel invoice retrievals.
• Works to improve tenant-management relations.
• Conduct resident surveys and contact residents to collect needed information related to resident’s need for relocation.
• Assists in the direction of tenant meetings and other relocation related activities.
• Interprets and discusses the Department’s Standard Procedures with individual tenants, community leaders, and other community stakeholders.
• Sets up and coordinates schedules of Relocation activities.
• Distributes informational material to residents and internal/external stakeholders doing business with the Housing Authority, as necessary.
• Performs routine office tasks, such as data-entry, filing, keeping records (physical and digital), and answers telephones and makes referrals or takes messages.

Qualifications:
• Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of community, and a willingness to serve the public. Experience in community service or related fields is a plus.
