As the Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in expanding, optimizing, and maintaining our data architecture and data pipelines across the enterprise. You'll work across Azure data services, SQL development, and enterprise integrations, contributing not just as an implementer but as a technical decision-maker. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient data flow, collection, organization, and integration from both internal and external sources.

The Data Engineer will support software developers, database architects, analysts, and business teams by providing scalable infrastructure that enables accurate, timely, and accessible data while collaborating with analysts, developers and business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain data pipelines for movement and transformation across internal and external systems

  • Document data flows, integration specs, and technical processes
  • Triage pipeline failures and data discrepancies using structured troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Build and maintain SQL views and mappings that translate source system data for downstream consumers
  • Triage incoming integration requests, gather requirements using project management tools
  • Coordinate with external vendors to gather specs and keep integrations moving
Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in a data engineering or systems integration role
  • 2+ years experience with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Blob Storage, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience securing sensitive data — PHI, PII, or equivalent — in compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA
  • Proficiency in T-SQL including stored procedures, views, and query optimization
  • Experience designing and maintaining REST API or SFTP-based integrations
  • Self-directed and adaptable - able to manage competing priorities, pivot when business needs shift, and drive work to completion independently
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Power BI or similar BI reporting tools
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-line-of-business data environment preferred
