As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work with a highly effective team developing quality and scalable data solutions within a leading Asset Management technology organization. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, contribute to data platform initiatives, and continuously improve engineering efficiency and delivery practices.
7+ years of experience developing high-quality data solutions.
Experience in software development within the financial services industry.
Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, SQL scripting, and database performance tuning.
Intermediate experience with Java development preferred.
Solid understanding of ETL tools such as Informatica and data warehousing platforms like Snowflake.
Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, gaps, and issues, and develop effective solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently assess technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.
Experience with data modeling, quantitative analysis, and multidimensional data structures.
Understanding of data architecture concepts including Transactional Systems, Data Marts, and Data Warehouses.
Basic knowledge of Python, REST APIs, and AWS is a plus.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
