Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Data Engineer for their Morrisville, NC/ Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The New York Power Authority NYPA is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support enterprise data products with a strong focus on Business As Usual BAU operations.
  • This role is not project-based and is centered on ensuring stability, reliability, and incremental enhancement of existing data pipelines and platforms.
  • The selected resource will act as an independent contributor, owning day-to-day production support activities while collaborating closely with NYPA and Client stakeholders
  • Provide BAU support for existing data products and data integration pipelines. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement minor enhancements and optimizations to existing data workflows.
  • Support and maintain ETL or ELT pipelines built using Azure Data Factory ADF.
  • Work with Azure Databricks for data processing, transformation, and performance tuning. Ensure data reliability, quality, and operational stability across environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently with minimal supervision.
 
Requirements:
  • Adhere to NYPA operational, security, and compliance standards.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF). Solid working knowledge of Azure Databricks.
  • Experience supporting production data environments (BAU / Run-the-Business).
  • Ability to analyze and fix production issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to work as an independent contributor.
