Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer - L3 Support Engineer (Lead) for a Contract with a client in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing data pipeline stability, performance tuning, and advanced production support across Databricks and Spark platforms.
Rate Range: $60/Hour to $64/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer - L3 Support Engineer (Lead) Job Responsibilities include:
Provide L3 production support for data engineering platforms, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance of Databricks and Spark pipelines.
Design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
Perform advanced performance tuning and root cause analysis to resolve critical data and pipeline issues.
Oversee data engineering delivery and act as tower lead for support processes within the Asset Management domain.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage incidents, changes, and continuous improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices for support, performance, and data pipeline design.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
8-10 years of experience in data engineering with strong L3 production support exposure.
Deep hands-on expertise in Databricks, Spark, PySpark, and SQL with proven ability to design, troubleshoot, and performance-tune complex data pipelines.
Experience leading L3 support operations within the Asset Management domain, including incident management, root cause analysis, and mentoring engineering teams.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
