We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer (Kusto/KQL) to support a business-critical application within a Circular Center environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kusto Query Language (KQL), SQL, and data analysis, along with experience supporting production applications in logistics, operations, or supply chain environments. This role requires a proactive, analytical professional who can investigate complex data issues, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure high data quality and application performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and support the Circular Center application as the functional owner.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Handle production incidents, troubleshoot application issues, and resolve user requests.
  • Configure and maintain business rules while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate application enhancements.
  • Analyze large datasets using Kusto (KQL), SQL, and Excel to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Develop optimized KQL queries for reporting, dashboards, and operational investigations.
  • Perform complex joins across multiple datasets while optimizing query performance and memory usage.
  • Build reusable query patterns for operational reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with operations and engineering teams to improve application reliability and performance.
  • Document solutions, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of IT experience with strong data engineering or analytics background.
  • Hands-on expertise in Kusto Query Language (KQL).
  • Strong SQL programming skills.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and complex data environments.
  • Advanced Client Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting production applications and handling incidents.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking, issue management, and UAT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in logistics, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI Copilot-based solutions.
  • Exposure to Power Automate.
  • Understanding of hardware infrastructure or networking components.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale internal platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
