Summary

Our client is seeking a Data Engineer Consultant for their Kansas City office. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, databases, and systems to ensure efficient collection, storage, and accessibility of data. This Data Engineer will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and optimized for analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and optimization for analysis.
• Address complex data challenges with strong analytical and problem-solving approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Expertise in programming languages (Python, Java, or Scala).
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (Oracle Database, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred

• Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines using Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica.
• Certifications in Cloud platforms and Snowflake (AWS Certified Data Analytics, SnowPro Data Engineer, SnowPro Architect).
• Domain experience with financial or insurance data.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

This is a 12-Month Contract opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
