Our Client, a Retail company, is looking for a Data Engineer for their Grand Rapids, MI/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
 
Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate for this role has 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on Azure-based solutions.
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Required knowledge in SQL, Python, or Scala for data transformation and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB and other Azure data storage solutions.
  • Ability to do discovery on existing tools and data flow and recommending data model a plus
  • Experience or understanding of working in digital marketing or ecommerce data domain preferred.
