Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will design and build scalable data services while leading migration efforts and ensuring reliable, high-quality code and platform performance.
Rate Range: $55/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data services supporting large-scale data systems and web applications.
Lead and execute migrations from Alteryx to cloud-based tools, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, architects, product managers) to build integrated platform solutions.
Develop high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code using Python and modern data tools (dbt, GCP).
Participate in design discussions, provide architectural input, and drive platform improvements.
Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and enhance data pipelines and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience with Alteryx and 2+ years with dbt Core/Dataform or GCP tools.
Strong expertise in Python and cloud-based data wrangling tools, with experience building scalable ETL/data pipelines and migration solutions.
Proven experience working in cross-functional agile teams with the ability to develop production-grade, high-quality, and well-documented data solutions.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
