Data Center Technician

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Center Technician in Phoenix, AZ.

Summary: This role supports data center operations with a focus on inventory control, logistics, and system monitoring. The technician ensures smooth material flow, accurate inventory tracking, and compliance with data center standards while also assisting with basic system monitoring and issue resolution.

Roles and Responsibilities: Inventory & Logistics:

• Manage shipping/receiving, PO intake, and rack movement coordination (RMS)
• Perform physical inventory tracking, staging, and cycle audits
• Execute data corrections and maintain inventory accuracy
• Handle destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs) per compliance standards

Data Center Operations:

• Monitor systems for errors, failures, and performance issues
• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot basic issues, or escalate as needed
• Support testing/debugging efforts with engineering teams

Execution & Process Adherence:

• Work independently in high-volume or escalation environments
• Follow strict operational procedures, compliance, and audit requirements
• Maintain documentation and reporting (Excel-heavy environment)
