Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician Junior for a Contract with a client in New Albany, OH. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on data center operations, including replacing computer parts and running ethernet/fiber cables while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
NOTE 2nd Shift - Team 1 4-day 10-hour shift, Sun-Wed, 2pm-12:30am Rate Range: $22.58/hour to $23.58/hour The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Center Technician Junior Job Responsibilities:
• Replace computer hardware components and perform basic repairs following defined processes. • Run and install ethernet and fiber optic cables in accordance with established standards. • Assemble, disassemble, and populate/e populate equipment racks as needed. • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the data center environment. • Operate barcode scanners and associated software tools for inventory and tracking. • Follow detailed instructions and collaborate effectively with team members to complete assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent • 2 years of relevant experience in hardware handling or data center operations • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment • Basic knowledge of computer components and proficiency with common computer applications (email, chat)
