In this role, you will lead the full lifecycle of fixed-bid infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and under budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

This position is ideal for a senior-level Project Manager with strong experience in data center or critical facility environments who can manage complex infrastructure deployments, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive successful project execution from initiation through closeout. This is an onsite role for the duration of the project, with potential for a hybrid schedule after the initial phase.

Job Functions

Project Initiation & Planning

  • Develop project charters defining scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and key milestones
  • Build detailed project plans including WBS, schedules (Gantt/CPM), resource plans, and cost-loaded baselines
  • Gain stakeholder alignment and approval on project scope, timelines, and risks
  • Utilize tools such as MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and planning

Project Execution & Technical Leadership

  • Oversee installation of structured cabling and fiber infrastructure within data center environments
  • Manage field teams, including installers, splicers, and technicians, to ensure quality and productivity
  • Validate technical deliverables using OTDRs, power meters, and certification tools
  • Perform root cause analysis on testing or performance issues and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure accurate as-built documentation, test results, and system traceability

Project Control & Reporting

  • Manage procurement plans, material logistics, vendor coordination, and equipment tracking
  • Deliver daily/weekly reporting, including project status, performance metrics, and financial tracking
  • Monitor project health using dashboards and Earned Value Management (EVM) trends
  • Maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports

Monitoring, Risk Management & Closeout

  • Maintain and manage the project risk register with regular risk assessments and mitigation planning
  • Execute formal change control processes for scope, schedule, and cost adjustments
  • Conduct site audits, quality inspections, and progress reviews to ensure compliance with standards
  • Lead project closeout activities, including stakeholder sign-off, financial reconciliation, and lessons learned

Stakeholder Engagement & Safety

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and field operations
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates, reporting, and escalation management
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, safety, and construction teams to ensure alignment
  • Champion Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and promote a zero-incident culture
  • Ensure compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC standards

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management within data center, telecommunications, or critical facility environments
  • Proven experience managing full lifecycle infrastructure or construction projects
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent experience strongly considered
  • PMP or CAPM certification strongly preferred

Technical & Professional Skills
