Data Architecture and Modeling
Role Description: Data Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Must work on technology Cloud Modernization/Transformation program involving AWS Databricks.
- 12+ years in data architecture with at least 2 projects involving AWS Databricks.
- Strong experience in large-scale cloud data modernization programs
- Strong experience in Data Architecture
- Experience in AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena)
- Strong experience in Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
- Strong experience in Data modeling (Datawarehouse + Lakehouse)
- Experience in Integration architecture & governance frameworks
Roles & Responsibilities
- Define target data architecture (Lakehouse/Data Platform) including ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance solutions on AWS
- Establish data integration patterns and architecture standards
- Drive data governance, data federation, security, and compliance frameworks
- Lead POCs and architectural validations for critical requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution design
- Guide engineering teams on best practices and platform optimization
- Define cutover strategy: Dual-run / shadowing approach, Zero-downtime migration, Rollback mechanisms
- Ensure architecture meets: High throughput and low latency requirements, Horizontal scalability, Fault tolerance and resiliency
- Experience in AWS services like Lambda, SQS, Event Bridge, SNS, Step function, EKS, S3 etc.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to: Migration complexity, Dependency management, Performance bottlenecks, Data integrity
- Define contingency plans for: Rollbacks, Failure scenarios. Ensure production readiness across all waves.

- Ability to simplify complex architectures for business stakeholders
