Description:This position is within the Data & AI Enablement (D&AE), Data Governance organization. Specifically this role supports the Data Stewardship & Governance Program team. Primary responsibilities include Master Data Management and Reference Data Management. Additional responsibilities are support of Data Stewards across the Corporation in the execution of their tasks which include identification of data sources, business terms and metadata information loaded into the data catalog, certification of data sets and reports/dashboards, definition of data sensitivity leading to access control requirements, identification of business data quality rules, and record retention requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, equivalent experience/combined education considered
  • Strong communication skills with proven record to convey objectives and requirements to business and technical stakeholders; ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts in business-friendly terms
  • Experience working with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of data governance concepts like data ownership, data domains, policies, standards, and controls
  • Experience working with data-related initiatives; for example- defining how data is be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data in some way

Desired Skills:

  • Proven experience working within or leading data management, data governance, data stewardship or master data management competencies including implementation and support of data management / data governance tools
  • Experience with Data Cataloging and Glossary tools (e.g. Collibra, IBM Knowledge Catalog, Databricks)
  • Ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders across Business Areas and Functions.
  • Understanding of concepts like data lineage, data quality, data classification, metadata and data models.
  • Knowledge of industry-standards and regulatory requirements related to data and information
  • Familiar with data protection requirements within the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Familiarity with Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK)
  • Certification or experience as a SAFe Agile Product Owner or as a member of SAFe Agile Scrum and/or Kanban teams
  • Working knowledge of the 1LMX business transformation program
  • Experience leveraging AI capabilities to increase productivity or improve quality
  • Desire for continuous learning and sharing of knowledge

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $142,000 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
