Role: Data Architect(Snowflake)

Location: Dallas TX

Duration: 6+ months contract

Rate: $115/hr

Job Description: Core Responsibilities

Design end-to-end Snowflake data architecture for enterprise data platforms

Define data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and ELT frameworks

Lead data migration from legacy EDW/DataStage to Snowflake

Architect and integrate pipelines across ADF, Databricks, and Snowflake

Strong domain knowledge in Supply Chain

Strong Health care domain knowledge

Optimize query performance, workload management, and cost efficiency

Configure Snowflake features:

Virtual warehouses

Resource monitors

Time travel / zero-copy cloning

Ensure data quality, lineage, and validation across pipelines

Implement data governance, security, and RBAC frameworks

Build scalable, reusable metadata-driven frameworks

Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and data issues

Collaborate with:

Data Engineering teams (ADF, Databricks)

BI teams (Looker/Tableau)

Business stakeholders

Lead architecture design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring

Drive technical strategy and solution governance

Required Skills

Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture & implementation

Advanced SQL, ELT design, and performance tuning

Experience with Azure + Databricks ecosystem

Strong understanding of Data Warehousing & Lakehouse architecture

Preferred (McKesson Context)

Experience in Healthcare / Supply Chain domain

Exposure to DataStage Snowflake migration

Familiarity with Looker / Tableau reporting integration

Soft Skills

Strong stakeholder communication and leadership

Ability to manage high-visibility enterprise programs

Comfortable working in onsite/offshore model
