The Data Architect, Enterprise Analytics designs, builds, and maintains data models within UVM Health's unified enterprise data model across the bronze, silver, and gold layers of the Microsoft Fabric lakehouse platform. Working under the standards and direction of the Sr. Data Architect, this role develops well-structured, well-documented, and curated data models for assigned domains that serve the analytics needs of the organization with consistency, reliability, and high quality. The Data Architect partners closely with the Data Governance team to ensure governance is embedded in the data model, and works directly with data engineers and analytics teams to support high-quality, efficient analytics delivery.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing and maintaining data models in a lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or equivalent cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) and lakehouse design patterns.
  • Experience working within an agile engineering team preferred.
