Job Responsibilities
Under the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, the Data & Reporting Coordinator will support institutional research processes by collecting data from departments college-wide, utilizing computer programs to manipulate and process data, and compiling various reports for internal and external stakeholders. To successfully accomplish these goals, the Data & Reporting Coordinator will have strong data collection, data analysis, mathematical and related computer software skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Solicits and collects data from departments college - wide; utilizes computer program procedures to perform data collection and mathematical analysis.
Works with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness to compile and manipulate data for reports mandated by state and federal agencies and requested by college faculty, staff, and administrators.
Maintains effective relationships with departments college - wide who have access to relevant institutional data; develops and sustains data collection processes that result in the timely submission of data to internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as Liaison between the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and the academic and staff divisions of the college to include training of new software and report writing.
Remains up to-date on best practices in data collection and analysis, reporting guidelines for mandated reports, and College systems, processes, and personnel related to the effective collection and presentation of data.
Manage and maintain the Informer database.
Perform other related, technical and advanced administrative duties as require
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, or database management systems support. A bachelors degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Under the direction of the Director of Institutional Research and Planning, will have a broad understanding of the issues of higher education, data collection, and data storage. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, work quickly, manage multiple tasks and work independently with a commitment to detail and accuracy to bring tasks to conclusion.
Additional Comments
Have the ability to assess technology and make recommendations. Ability to develop and maintain historical data files. Develop expertise in comparative data from other institutions. Required knowledge of Colleague and Microsoft Office Suites. Optional/Additional Requirement of Campus Labs software
