Position Type: Direct Hire Shift: 1st Shift Job Description: Belcan is looking for a Data Analyst to support manufacturing and aerospace projects at our customer facility in Windsor CT. Incorporating data-driven decision making, this position will analyze large amounts of data for manufacturing trends and directly influence decision making on a daily/weekly basis.
Data Analyst Job Duties: • Writing Excel Macros • Manipulating data • Automating reports • Lead and support projects • Schedule meetings • Report out information • Demonstrate successful methods to work around roadblocks or delays • Evaluate data pull processes and recommend/implement process improvements • Develop reporting processes • Create work instructions • Develop process improvements, which may include automating data pulls and reporting • Integrating multiple data reports and standardizing methods
Qualifications: • BS Degree in Data, Finance, Business, STEM, or other related disciplines • One or more years of work experience in a customer-facing role in an engineering or manufacturing environment • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot charts and tables • Experience with VBA Macros and/or PowerBI is highly preferred • Exposure to SAP is preferred • Strong self-management with the ability to work independently and as a team • Must be outgoing, enjoy solving problems, and be an excellent communicator (written and verbal)
