Desired start date: June 1, 2026 Location: San Carlos, CA Moon Team Photos 2.jpg The Role Your Core Responsibilities You will work with abundant data generated from the maestro ecosystem, develop robust and efficient data pipelines to process the data and provide insights to help guide the future development of the maestro ecosystem. Your Day-to-day Activities Work closely with stakeholders from R&D, operations and clinical development to gather requirements Build reliable ETL pipelines to process data form multiple data sources and create key metrics Build interactive visualization dashboard or report to generate insights Monitor data pipelines, investigate and resolve data or operational issues to ensure data integrity Perform ad-hoc data analysis through SQL to meet analytical needs from the team Communicate with stakeholders on regular basis on data product development and present recommendations/findings How You'll Fit In You will be an integral part of the Moon Surgical team as we develop new features for the next-generation of the Maestro platform. It is very likely that one, or more, of the features that you work on will be used by surgeons to perform a critical procedure on their patients. You will report to our Staff Data Engineer as you obtain hands-on experience within a growing medical device start-up. This full-time (40 hours/week), paid internship will be on-site at our office in San Carlos, California. At this ideal Bay Area location, we are mid-way between San Francisco and San Jose with easy access to city life, nature, the Pacific Ocean, and any activities you may enjoy doing during your summer with Moon Surgical. Qualifications, Skills & Attributes Proficiency in Python, SQL Experience with Deep interest in medical and /or robotic applications Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI workflows Experience with database systems and data processing pipelines Innovative problem-solver with strong analytical skills, adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving tech environment Compensation, Benefits & Other Details Full-time, paid internship (early-June to late-August) onsite at our San Carlos office Sound like a fit We would be excited to hear from you!
