Overview:

We are seeking skilled Service Technicians with experience in the Public Safety DAS (Distributed Antenna System) industry performing inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of ERRCS/ERCES systems and infrastructure. Experience commissioning, diagnosing, and servicing ERRCS equipment is highly preferred, as well as proficiency using Spectrum Analyzer, CW, PCTEL, or similar RF testing equipment. Experience with low voltage systems and electrical conduit infrastructure is also a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Public Safety DAS/ERRCS systems in Public Storage Facilities, Hotels, Multi-Family Residential projects, and medium to large commercial buildings.
- Conduct RF Sweep Testing, system diagnostics, and performance verification of DAS infrastructure and equipment.
- Troubleshoot system deficiencies, identify root causes, and complete corrective repairs and adjustments.
- Perform annual and recurring inspections/testing to ensure systems remain compliant with AHJ and NFPA requirements.
- Coordinate directly with customers, AHJs, and HCI office and other DAS team members regarding service schedules, deficiencies, and system performance.
- Complete service reports, testing documentation, deficiency reports, and service paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Identify system issues, code deficiencies, or out-of-scope conditions and communicate findings to the DAS Service Team.
- Resolve field problems through research and evaluation of multiple solutions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with building owners, AHJ’s, and end users.
- Effectively communicate service status updates to the DAS Service Team.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, and servicing coax cable systems and connector terminations.
- Proficient in fiber optic testing and troubleshooting. Fusion splicing and operation of fiber optic test equipment is a plus.
- Experience performing RF Sweep Testing and using industry-related DAS/ERRCS testing equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, CW, PCTEL, or similar equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of Public Safety DAS/ERRCS/ERCES systems, infrastructure, and applicable code requirements.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Applicants must meet company requirements related to background checks and driving record.
- Must be proficient in the use and application of industry-related software and tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Must possess strong communication and customer service skills, using tact and professionalism when interacting with customers, contractors, AHJs, and building owners.
- Must be skilled in the use of automatic and hand tools required for DAS/ERRCS service, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance required.
- Company vehicles may be provided to qualified senior technicians at the discretion of the Project Manager or Service Manager responsible for the department.
- Must be able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, and other construction or service environments.
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools as required, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to independently diagnose problems, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective solutions in the field.
- Industry-related NICET certification required to obtain within 1st year.
- Manufacturer Certifications, and FCC License are a plus.

Pay Range:
USD $35.00 - USD $45.00 /Hr.
