River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health nursing, psychiatric assessment stabilization, and medication maintenance services, as well as crisis intervention services, awareness education, and recovery groups.

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Behavioral Health Technician - IDD to join our team in making a difference in the lives of our patients every day. We are in the heart of Middle Georgia, where we enjoy abundant recreational opportunities and a family-friendly environment with good schools and opportunities for the entire family to be involved.
The Behavioral Health Technician - IDD cares for people who have disabilities, chronic illnesses, cognitive impairments, or age-related problems. He or she provides social interaction and companionship for patients in various healthcare settings under the direction of a licensed professional.
Schedule - 1241 Orchard Hill Road, Milledgeville, GA
This available schedule is for full-time and part-time shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Complies with Oconee policies and procedures • Comply with client facility nursing policies and procedures • Maintains confidentiality relative to patient services and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) • Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel • Provides companionship services such as sitting with patient or reading to patient
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required • At least six months of work experience as a sitter or companion in a healthcare setting • Experience in Behavioral Health • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
Knowledge & Skills
• Must be self-started and work independently • Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision • Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures • Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal
