We are seeking a skilled Cyclotron Operator to join a highly specialized production environment focused on the operation and maintenance of particle accelerator equipment used in the manufacturing of radiopharmaceutical products. This role is part of a small shift team and requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision while ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing cyclotrons and supporting systems to meet production demands. This position also serves as a backup resource for shift coordination and emergency response activities.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot cyclotrons and supporting equipment.
Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities.
Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and vacuum system issues.
Conduct scheduled equipment startups and shutdowns.
Load, install, transport, and manage production targets.
Monitor irradiation processes and system performance.
Document operational data, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
Coordinate daily production activities with internal production teams.
Assist with advanced troubleshooting and special projects.
Serve as backup support for shift coordination and after-hours emergency response.
Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
Follow all radiation safety procedures and actively manage personal exposure levels.
Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent military technical training.
3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems at the component level.
Strong experience with:
Analog and digital electronics
PLCs and logic circuits
High-voltage DC systems
RF equipment and power systems
Electromechanical equipment
Vacuum systems
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Experience using diagnostic and test equipment.
Basic soldering and circuit board repair skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
