Perform accurate inventory cycle counts, investigate and resolve discrepancies by identifying misplaced product or record inaccuracies, and prepare reports on inventory balances and shortages in compliance with established procedures.

 Essential Duties:

  • Performs daily cycle count of designated products for specific dates and in specific area of responsibility.
  • Track and report non-confirming product to appropriate department or company working alongside the Quality Control team for disposition. Notifies Manager and Purchasing.
  • Identify and record any issues relating to quality or damage and non-salvable items working alongside the Quality Control team and Production teams.
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operations to enhance inventory accuracy, track material in system to monitor movement.
  • Develop and implement processes to limit inventory variances
  • Transact and track scrap and defective material transaction from Manufacturing in Frontier.
  • Maintain knowledge of Warehouse Management systems and movements

 

Essential Job Skills and Experience

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control

Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of inventory procedures in a manufacturing environment

Skill: Excellent mathematical skills, excellent attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently

This position is in our manufacturing plant.  It will involve standing and walking for long periods of time throughout the day. The plant is not climate controlled and will require the employee to dress appropriately.  Noise levels can become high so NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department.
