Pay Rate: $75 - 100/hr
Summary:
- Location: Concord, CA
- Duration: 6 Months
- Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home)
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily cybersecurity activity to determine if activity is malignant or benign and engage others as required
- Provide analysis on malware and escalate as appropriate to incident response teams
- Conduct baseline threat hunting based on intelligence for utility peers and other intelligence sources
- Provide hunting/analysis on phishing cases and reports of potential compromise/breach
- Perform proficient forensic analysis using security tools and monitoring systems to identify the source of anomalous security events
- Assist in performing basic research internally and externally
- Perform complex system administration tasks (e.g., customization, cross-tool integration) for security tools
- Develop a strategy to implement work in the department
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Information Technology Security certification
