Cimarron is seeking a *GNOSC Mission Support Team Network Engineer* to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Key Duties: 
- Manage 24/7 operations of the Global Network Operations Center in support of MDA events, exercises, and war-games.
- Monitor the MDA Enterprise Network using tools like SolarWinds and respond to Remedy incident tickets.
- Troubleshoot network issues at Layer 1 and Layer 2, including cabling, port activations, and basic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Coordinate with DISA and DREN to resolve network circuit disruptions.
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced network solutions including VPNs, VRFs, and MPLS.
- Ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network efficiency, performance, and service delivery.
- Provide third-level network support and lead real-time troubleshooting in high-pressure environments.
- Support event execution by developing documentation, checklists, and maintaining network baselines.
- Coordinate change management activities and mission support schedules to align with event requirements.
- Participate in the Mission Execution Team and provide technical support during flight test operations.
- Lead and train GNOSC personnel on incident management and escalation procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on network transport and service delivery for test execution.
- Work rotating day and night shifts at Schriever AFB, CO.
- Provide post-event analysis, including lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: 
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time. 
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher). 
- 8 or more years of general full-time work experience.
- 6 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: firewall configuration and troubleshooting, software-defined networks (SDA/SD-WAN), LAN/WAN environments, or managing VoIP telecommunications infrastructures.
- Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or higher).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate at both technical and executive levels.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and professional approach.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex technical drawings and documentation.
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures and provide constructive feedback for improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience serving as a section trainer and developing instructional lesson plans.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: 
- Experience working in metrics-driven IT Operations and Maintenance (O&M) environments.
- Familiarity with Remedy and SNMP-based monitoring tools (e.g., Micro Focus, HPOV).
- Education or experience with the ITIL framework and related processes, including change management, continual service improvement, and problem investigation.
- Hands-on experience as a network engineer with designing, implementing, and managing switches, routers, firewalls, and cryptographic devices.
- Previous experience in a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center or similar IT operations setting.
- Understanding of IT network operations and connectivity devices relate to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and information security.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and the ability to perform system and network security analysis.
- Working knowledge of Tier III Information Assurance practices, including IT security governance, security administration, project management, logistics, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Ability to engage with command-level leadership and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including VIPs and dignitaries.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control inspection processes.
