As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will: responsible for establishing and maintaining the City of Celinas information security program; ensuring that data, systems, and networks are safeguarded against unauthorized access, breaches, and other security risks. This position involves monitoring, detecting, responding to, and mitigating security incidents while implementing security measures to safeguard against future attacks. This role is to help protect the City of Celina by performing the functions necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical data, network, and information systems which support key infrastructure and operational activities for the organization. This role is also responsible for partnering with team members throughout the city to achieve the objectives of both the security program and business units. The role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) years of related experience in cybersecurity.
• An equivalent combination of experience and education to satisfy the minimum requirements of the position.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
• Must possess valid class C driver's license.
