Position Summary
Cyber Analysts support a 24/7 operation and are responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining data and information for national security. The role is tasked with identifying vulnerabilities within systems, resolving them, and then responding to cybersecurity breaches when they occur.
Job Responsibilities
- Threat Detection and Prevention: Identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate risks. This includes monitoring network activity and analyzing security incidents.
- Security Implementation: Design and implement security systems to protect sensitive data and information systems from unauthorized access and cyberattacks.
- Incident Response: Respond to security breaches and incidents, conducting forensic investigations and documenting findings to improve future security measures.
- Collaboration: Work with IT teams and management to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations, and to educate employees on best security practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to enhance the organization's security
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, IFSM or Cybersecurity
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in Open Systems Implementation (OSI), Layer 7 – Application and Layer 3 - Network
- Superb understanding of ITIL 4 Foundation
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- Proficiency in security protocols, network architecture, and programming language.Familiarity with security tools and software is essential.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to effectively analyze security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and collaborate with team members and management.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
