Overview
We are seeking a Billing Specialist to support transportation and logistics billing operations within a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for reviewing freight bills, resolving billing discrepancies, coordinating with transportation providers, and supporting efficient customer billing processes.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in billing, accounts receivable/payable, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze carrier freight bills for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and duplicate charges
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve open billing issues
- Coordinate with transportation providers to obtain required documentation
- Support customer billing and order processing activities
- Maintain high service levels and ensure timely issue resolution
- Assist with process improvements to optimize billing cycle efficiency
- Utilize internal systems and technologies to support operational workflows
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in:
- Billing
- Accounts receivable/payable
- Audit support
- Transportation/logistics operations
- Load planning
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
- Experience within transportation, freight, or logistics environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
