What You Will Do:
As a CVOR Tech, you will assist in complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, TAVR, TEVAR, and ECMO procedures. You’ll support a team operating in a state-of-the-art environment across multiple ORs, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient safety. Your expertise will directly contribute to successful surgical outcomes in a facility recognized for its teaching and trauma capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year CVOR Tech experience in cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgeries.
  • Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Proficiency in managing a variety of complex cases such as CABG, AVR, MVRR, TAVR, TEVAR, and vascular repairs.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving surgical needs.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with minimally invasive valve replacements or artificial heart procedures.
  • Familiarity with Epic or Excellian charting systems.
  • Additional certifications in specialized surgical tech fields or vascular technology.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in cardiac or vascular surgical settings.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work up to two weekends per month, including holiday call if needed.
  • Availability for 8-hour day shifts (06:45 - 15:15).
  • Valid state license is not required; pending licensing is accepted.
  • No floating to sister facilities; this role is dedicated to one facility.
  • Hospital boasts 672 beds, a magnet designation, and is recognized for its teaching excellence and trauma level III designation.
