Required Skills:
- Valid CVOR Certification and certification as a Surgical First Assistant (FA)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OR experience, preferably in a cardiovascular setting
- Proven expertise in endoscopic vein harvesting and cardiovascular procedures
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and sterile environment protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with cardiac and vascular surgeries beyond baseline requirements
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Additional certifications such as BLS, ABSA, NBSTSA, or NCCT
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Surgical Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field
- At least 1-2 years of cardiovascular surgical assisting experience in a hospital or surgical center setting
Other Requirements:
- Valid BLS certification
- Availability for rotating call shifts, including every third day from Monday to Thursday between 3:30 PM and 7:00 AM, and weekend call responsibilities
- Flexibility to work day shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) on a 5x8 schedule
- Willingness to travel or compensate for travel, licensure, and certification expenses as applicable
