Customer Supply Specialist

Position Summary
The Customer Supply Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the service / logistics requirements for a group of key customer accounts ensuring product delivery and service requirements meet or exceed customer expectations and fall within contractual requirements. These duties are accomplished through flawless, end-to-end order management and close collaboration with 3rd party logistics providers to ensure product is delivered seamlessly to customers on-time, on-spec and on-paper.
Additionally, the Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customer and supplier counterparts, responding to customer/supplier issues in a proactive and timely manner, and implementing high-quality customer service and supplier development plans to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The individual will regularly track and trace, update, and report on various modes of transportation. The Specialist will support the execution of the Responsible Care plan.

Support the execution of the Responsible Care plan as needed which may include conducting Responsible Care presentations / seminars, leading/supporting internal or 3rd party supplier audits, updating supplier guidelines, and participating in audits.
Position Qualifications
4-year college Degree preferred or equivalent work experienced required
Minimum 12 months in a customer service and/or logistics role
Thorough knowledge of order and inventory management processes
Working knowledge of 3rd party freight (rail, barge, vessel) beneficial
Prior Oracle and QTS rail knowledge/experience considered an asset
Excellent communication, written and verbal, and relationship building skills
Multi-tasking and problem solving in a timely manner is essential
Ability to operate in a multifunctional team environment
Capacity to learn and adapt to new systems quickly and efficiently
MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, medium proficiency required
Strong interpersonal/customer service skills: ability to communicate professionally via email and phone, ability to develop strong business relationships with customers, terminals, 3rd party suppliers, and peers
