The PantherDining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Customer Services Specialist I.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position is responsible for greeting and acknowledging customers, maintains outstanding solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service standards. This position may require you to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Attentive to guest needs; communicates customer request to management.
  • Accurately and efficiently utilizes POS systems and maintains all cash and media at the registers.
  • Maintains awareness of daily menu items and knowledge of meal plans.
  • Counts and reconciles funds during shifts to ensure adequate funds.
  • Restocks assigned supplies and brochures.
  • Accurately records patron counts.
  • Maintains neat appearance at the registers and in the front of house areas.
  • Keeps beverage machines, napkins holders, silverware, plates, bowls, and cups filled and maintained.
  • Helps keep table and service areas clean.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, administrative, or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
  • Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
