The Customer Service Representative will interact with customers by receiving customer POs on standard orders, timely order entry, and professional customer service regarding standard GIS products and services.  This role will promptly answer customer emails and/or phone calls for general customer inquiries, new order entry, order status updates, and customer follow up.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Receive, process, and submit orders for standard GIS items with existing customers.
  • Verify customer and order information for correctness ensuring the required data, item pricing and details are included for efficient and timely processing of the order.
  • Inform customers by email or phone of order status updates, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
  • Provide customers with clear and complete information and proactive solutions when answering questions or dealing with issues. 
  • Manage large amounts of incoming emails and monitors incoming emails/orders in common mailboxes
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Coordinate with print, production, and shipping to provide status updates on customer orders.
  • Assist with daily shipping process as needed

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year customer service and/or order entry experience is preferred

  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
