Duration: 3 Months
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for corporate filings including preparation, review, and filing of: Articles of Incorporation/Organization, amendments, fictitious business name/assumed name filings, newspaper publications, annual reports, mergers and conversions, withdrawals and dissolutions, pre-clearance documents, tax clearance, reinstatements, and revivals.
- Effectively communicate with states and companies regarding various corporate filings and document retrievals.
- Obtain certificates of status with both the state and revenue departments, conduct name availability and status searches, produce verbal bring-downs, file and track name reservations and registrations, and obtain copies of miscellaneous public record documents.
- Assist with Registered Agent mail, Virtual Office mail, Services of Process (SOPs), and other areas in the Client Services Department as needed.
- Assist manager in the training of new and existing employees.
- Safeguard confidentiality of records and comply with all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Skills:
- Very detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills.
- Computer literate; Intermediate level skills with MS Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Self-directed and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask and effectively handle multiple time-sensitive projects.
- Knowledge of general corporate procedures and/or willingness to learn.
- Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and compile data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Ensure superior customer service is provided at all times and maintain a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality and a professional demeanor.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years equivalent experience in customer service or legal industry.
- Experience working in a multi-function, multi-geography environment preferred.
